- New board members shall fulfill their responsibilities as representatives to their jurisdictions, and as members of the Northern Lights Library System (NLLS) Board, they shall receive an orientation presentation, package, and tour. The Executive Committee will be responsible for the orientation and professional development. The Executive Committee at its discretion can assign responsibilities to another committee.
- Newly appointed Board Members shall go through a NLLS orientation as soon as possible after they are appointed.
- An effort will be made to provide professional development at each Board meeting.
