6.0       FOIP Bylaw

Purpose

The purpose of the bylaw is to establish the administrative structure of Viking Municipal Library in relation to the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act and to set fees thereunder.

Definitions

In this bylaw, unless the context otherwise requires:

“Act” means the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, S.A. 1994, cF-18.4;

“Applicant” means the Viking Municipal Library and includes any board or committee that is created by the Viking Municipal Library and all members or officers of which are appointed or chosen by Viking Municipal Library;

“Director” means the person appointed as the Director of Viking Municipal Library and includes any person who holds the position of Director in an acting capacity.

Designated Head

The Library Manager shall be the Director and shall be responsible and accountable for all decisions taken under the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.

Fees

Where an Applicant is required to pay a fee for services, the fee payable is in accordance with the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Regulation, AR 200195, as amended from time to time or any successor Regulation that sets fees for requests for information from the Province.
