4.0       BORROWER’S CARD AND FEES

4.1       Residency Requirements:

To be eligible for a borrower’s card for the Viking Municipal Library, a patron must reside in one of the following areas:

a)         Town of Viking

b)         Beaver County

c)         Area with postal address of Viking, TOB 4NO

d)         Area with postal address of Kinsella, TOB 2NO

and/or, while any reciprocal borrowing agreement between Viking Municipal Library and another library is in force.

e)         and be a registered borrower in good standing of that partner library.

4.2       The application form (Form #1) shall be completed and contain the following information:

a)         Name

b)         Postal code

c)         Street address or legal land description

d)         Home telephone number

e)         One piece of signed identification, preferably a drivers license, will be reviewed for the purpose of validation.

4.3       Fees

  1. Fees shall be due annually and the borrowing period shall be effective for one year from the date on application
  2. Fee Schedule:                         Residents

Individual                   $12.00

Family                        $15.00

Group                          $15.00

  1. Fee Structure:                         Non-Residents

Individual                   $35.00

Family                        $70.00

Group                          $70.00

There shall be a maximum of 2 adult members per family.  Additional persons age 18 and over shall be required to register independently, unless they are fulltime students or dependents under age 25, living with signing member.

A group membership may be made available, upon approval by Board.  Responsibility for items borrowed shall be assessed by the groups executive or management, as set out in agreement signed by group and Board.

4.4       The Board reserves the right to review the amounts charged.
