Internet Usage Policy

Belief Statement - Village of Marwayne Library Board believes that internet access and usage are an important part of our library service. As such, we will endeavour to make our computers available to the public for access during regular library hours of operation.
Vision Statement -The Village of Marwayne and surrounding area will benefit using the internet facilities available due to the assistance our library staff will give in the area of online technology.
Mission Statement -Village of Marwayne Library Board is a joint use facility in co-operation with Marwayne Jubilee School, operated under the Buffalo Trail Public School Division. As such, we endeavour to meet the internet needs of public patrons and students. Public patrons will have unrestricted access to the internet and students must operate within school guidelines.
Target Statement
- Though students may use Village of Marwayne Library Board computers, library patrons take precedence;
- Village of Marwayne Library Board will endeavour to assist all patrons including seniors;
- Students must adhere to school guidelines when they are on public computers;
- Since students are aware of Marwayne Jubilee School rules and regulations for computer use, they are at fault if they abuse their privilege and will be banned indiviually from further use;
- Our library staff has the right and responsibility to deny access to individuals who abuse privileges or are disrespectful to staff and equipment;
- If patrons choose to print material, a fee will be charged payable to the library;
- The library cannot be used for illegal purposes. Decisions will be made at the library manager's or assistant's discretion.
