Internet Access
Answer
- Internet access will be provided free to the public. The use of the Library’s computers is a privilege and not a right.
- Library computers are primarily for research, business and study purposes. Library patrons use the internet at their own discretion.
- Users may use ONLY the software installed on the computer and must not attempt to install additional software.
- A fee of .25 per copy will be charged for printing.
- The staff are not responsible for training the public but are available for assistance.
- If necessary, time limits will be decided upon by the Library Manager who will take importance of subject matter into consideration.
- Everyone under the age of 16 must have parental permission with a signed copy of the consent on file in the library.
- Unacceptable usage will result in loss of Internet privileges. Any library staff person has the authority to suspend usage.
The following is not permitted:
- Sending or displaying offensive messages or pictures.
- Using obscene language.
- Harassing, insulting or attacking others.
- Damaging computers, computer systems or computer networks.
- Using others’ passwords.
- Violating copyright laws.
- Employing the network for commercial purposes.
- Saving of information is permitted only on to patrons own storage devices.
- The library will not be held responsible for content of web sites accessed by the public.
