The Smoky Lake Library Board will ensure that any group using the facility within the Board’s control meets certain standards of use set by the Board.

Building Use

1.  Any use of the library building requires permission of the Board in the form of an agreement.

2.  The Library Board is responsible for the care and maintenance of the library building.

3.  The Library facility shall be non-smoking at all times.

4.  Children must be supervised at all times.

5.  Groups that use the library:

            5.1  Must submit and adhere to a pre-set time schedule, arriving and leaving on time.

            5.2  Must ensure the outside access door is locked upon departure.

            5.3  Must leave the room neat and clean.

            5.4  Must dispose of garbage.

            5.5  Must bring own supplies (coffee, sugar, etc.).

5.6  Shall provide librarian with current contact name and number.

5.7  An honorarium may be accepted or a fee charged based on usage agreement.

6.  The main library facility is to remain locked during closed hours.

7.  If storage space is available, groups may store and secure items in their assigned space.  A key must be provided to librarian for emergency access to storage area.

8.  The Library is not responsible for any loss or damage to the group’s property.  Each group is   responsible to insure its property.

9.  All agreements shall be reviewed annually.


 

10.  The Library Board may terminate agreements with 30 days notice.
