How do I use the Bulk Change Feature?

Bulk Changes
The next step in withdrawing your weeded items is a bulk change. This allows you to change the status of all item records within the record set with just a few clicks. Of note, you may not have the permissions to do this task (the CP permission tier is required with Niche training). If you run into an issue with your permissions, submit a helpdesk ticket or contact your consultant. Include the Record Set ID # and Name, asking to bulk change the items to withdrawn.
Be aware that there is no back button, so any changes made are permanent.
Search for a Record Set in LEAP
- To search for any type of record set, simply click on FIND (the smart search bar will not search for record sets).
- Select the First Column option in the Find Tool to search for Record Sets.
How to Do a Bulk Change
- Ensure that the record set is saved.
- Then select ACTIONS and click on Bulk Change.
- A new page will open.
- Navigate to the Circulation tab.
- Then select Withdrawn from the drop-down menu.
- Click Update Items.
- A pop-up will appear, confirming the bulk changes and warning that the changes cannot automatically be undone.
- Click Continue.
Of Note: Double check that all the items in your record set have changed to the status Withdrawn. Sometimes a few items are missed, and if that happens, then you simply double click on the item and change the circulation status within the item record itself.
Ad Hoc Bulk Change
- Bulk change is available through the MORE button as an Ad Hoc Bulk Change. This will change selected items.
- Click MORE and then click Ad Hoc Bulk Change.
