Wireless Statistics and Reports

Answer

NLLS provides Member Libraries with the option to sign up to receive monthly wireless statistics and reports.

What’s included in your monthly wireless report?

Monthly wireless reports offer your library great statistics that you can use to show your stakeholders how popular the wireless internet is in your library.  Statistics that the monthly wireless reports offer include how many patrons connect to the wireless network each month, the average duration users spent using wireless during each session, and what devices are most popular among users.

Signing up for monthly wireless reports

Monthly wireless reports are an optional service for Member Libraries that must be requested so that NLLS can ensure that this data is being sent to the correct email address.  To request for your library to receive monthly wireless reports, contact the TSI Department via the HelpDesk.

Monthly wireless reports are automatically sent out on the 1st of each month at 8:00AM and include all data from the previous calendar month.

Why is it important to sign up for monthly wireless reports?

PLSB requests annual wireless statistics during the annual reporting process.  By signing up for monthly wireless reports, your library is able to provide these statistics when requested each year.  It should be noted that NLLS is not able to provide a whole year of wireless statistics at the end of each year, as our system only retains 90-Days of statistics.

If your library is not signed up for monthly reports ahead of annual reporting season, it is recommended that you contact NLLS for a 90-Day history of your library’s wireless usage and calculate the average usage for the year based on that data.
