How to Find Your Computer's IP Address

Answer

An IP (Internet Protocol) address is a unique address that identifies each device on the internet and NLLS' local network.  Occasionally, TSI Staff may request the IP address of your device to learn more about it and troubleshoot networking issues.

How to find your computer’s IP address

1.  Using the Search Bar located next to the Start button, type cmd and hit the Enter key.  This will open the Command Prompt window.

2.  Once the Command Prompt window is open, type ipconfig and hit the Enter key.  In the information that appears on your screen, look for the line that reads IPv4 Address.  This set of numbers is the IP address of your device.
