Patron lost her Libby books when she got a new library card - can she get them back?

We had a patron get a new card because she lost the old one. She lost all the books that she was reading on Libby. Is there a way to get them back for her, or does she just have to download them on Libby again?

Answer

If you ever get a patron who wants to transfer their Libby holds/history/books from one library card to another (like if they've lost a card), we can absolutely do that - it's one of the steps we do when merging accounts when a patron moves from one library to another, as well. It should work no matter where they had their last card, so if they've moved from Edmonton or somewhere else non-TRAC, that's fine too as long as they were using Libby at their last library.

All you have to do is send us at NLLS a ticket listing the patron's old barcode and new barcode (and which one is which) and we'll be happy to make it happen!
