What are the TRAC Operational Guidelines and how can I find a copy?

The TRAC Operational Guidelines is the document The Regional Automation Consortium (TRAC) sets out to ensure that resource sharing across the consortium runs smoothly and equitably.

The guidelines ask for specific procedures in the following areas:

  • New item check-ins
  • Displaying items in TRACPAC
  • Sending and receiving holds
  • Damaged, lost, or overdue materials lent to or belonging to other libraries
  • Collection maintenance and availability
  • Contacting, registering, and renewing patrons

Each member library is responsible for ensuring it adheres to these guidelines. If you have questions about the TRAC Operational Guidelines and how they apply to your library's procedures, please contact your consultant - we would be happy to assist.
