If someone invites you to a meeting in Microsoft Teams, you will receive an email. The first step is to click "Accept" (green checkmark). The email will disappear, and the meeting will pop up in your Outlook Calendar. You can access your Outlook Calendar by clicking on the calendar icon in the lower left hand corner of your email.
The meeting will appear on the day and time it was scheduled. By double clicking on the meeting you can make an information block pop up with a link to join.

Before clicking join, be sure your camera/microphone is/are plugged in if you are not using your device's camera and/or microphone.
Once you click to join, a screen will pop up allowing you to check your picture and sound before others can see and hear you. Make sure there's nothing in your teeth!
Once you've checked everything, you can join the meeting.
